GuitArt Festival Plovdiv celebrates its 10th anniversary from 1 to 4 October 2026 with four days of concerts, masterclasses, workshops, an international guitar competition and meetings with luthiers.
The anniversary programme brings together internationally acclaimed artists, leading Bulgarian musicians and emerging young performers, presenting the guitar across genres, generations and cultural traditions.
Participating artists and projects include Brazilian guitar virtuoso Yamandu Costa, legendary Macedonian guitarist Vlatko Stefanovski, internationally acclaimed Vietnamese classical guitarist Thu Le, Bulgarian guitarist and 2025 competition winner Samuel Solomon, Angel Dimirev, Banda Del Padre and other special guests.
The festival opens on 1 October at 19:00 at Studio 1 of Radio Plovdiv with an official opening ceremony and recitals by Samuel Solomon and Thu Le. The programme continues with concerts, interdisciplinary performances, educational activities and the international GuitArt competition.
The festival culminates on 4 October at 19:30 at the Boris Hristov House of Culture with the competition award ceremony and a solo concert by Yamandu Costa.
